This is the 2007 revision of our purple Cap232. It has received a few updates but the most apparent feature change is the colour scheme.
The Hyperion Cap232 flies great and is very light on the wings. The model can be taken apart quickly and it doesn't take up much space. Wing is one-piece for light weight and great strength.
For lowest weight use 2200mAh 3S lipos, but you can easily use a 3300mAh battery pack for long duration sport flights. We recommend 400W brushless motor.
More about the Hyperion Super 3D 25-class
In terms of size, the "25e" models can be related to "Engine 25" (0.25ci) models, but the little "e" means they are 100% electric. Designed from the "ground up" around the extremely powerful 400W+ outrunner motor, you have to experience the performance yourself to believe it. At about 400 Watt per kilo the Super 3D planes are not boring!
Constructed of hand-picked light balsa and ply, the fuselage, wing, and tail groups carefully follow the lines of the full-size model, but the Hyperion engineers have stretched wing area and control surfaces for controllable high-alpha performance at very low flight speeds. You don't have to give up scale beauty for this performance: The hand painted fiberglass cowls are a work of art. The pre-painted super-clear canopies are already mounted on a wood frame, with instant-access retention systems. Battery access in a few seconds keeps things easy and safe.
The wings of SU-31 and EDGE 540 models are joined by a large-diameter carbon tube, and removable in a matter of a few seconds for easy transport to the field, and for storage at home (CAP232 has a stong, light single-piece wing).
Bigger flies better, and these larger 3D models is also very easy to see at a distance. That sharpens the maneuvers of any pilot, and contrasting stripes on wing bottom really help with orientation.
Specifications:
Length:1067mm
Wingspan:1186mm
Wing Area:27.74 dm2
Flying Weight:990 - 1175 gr
Designed by Slava Kondratiev, at the time the leading light aircraft designer in Russia, the Yak55 was first airborne in May of 1981. A few years later, in 1984, the Russian Team was equipped with the Yak55 - and it immediately won the World Aerobatic Championship.
The Yak55 with the designation "SP" is a revison from the mid-nineties where the original design was improved in a number of areas.
This addition to the 25e-class is made with slightly out-of-scale wings to allow for a floaty model. Carbon wing tube, tough landing gear, strong stabilizer for wider speed envelope and scale wheel pants make this Yak55SP a beauty!
For lowest weight use 2200mAh 3S lipos, but you can easily use a 3300mAh battery pack for long duration sport flights. We recommend 400W-500W brushless motor.
