This 5A linear regulator can take voltage inputs from 6-8.4V and provide an adjustable regulated output from 5-6V. Built in overheat protection that shuts down the regulator if the IC surface temperature gets above 90° C. It includes a failsafe switch that can be used if desired. Unplugging the switch defaults the regulator to 'ON', preventing switch failure from disrupting power to your receiver.
